The chart shows four years (2000 through 2003) of global sales for each of three categories of electronic products each year. The two product sectors for Games Software and DVD/Video record yearly sales growth whilst only CD global sales are falling each year.

From the 3 categories the lowest sales are Games Software but they are growing steadily each year to just under $20billion in 2003 from approximately $12billion in 2000.

The fastest growing product category is the DVD/video sector which shows growth from just under $20billion to $32billion by the fourth year in 2003. This is a 50% increase across the four year period.

The only product sector showing decreased sales is that of CD’s with a reduction from about $35 billion to just over $30billion by 2003. However, the $32 billion sales of CD’s globally, remained the highest selling product sector which just exceeded the $30billion of DVD/video in 2003.
